I felt very privileged to be a part of such a great
organization that helps so many people each year. When I entered the
Rising Star of Tennessee contest in 2007, I only anticipated sharing
the joy of God. I wanted people to know all about Him though my ministry.
I never really thought it would have opened so many doors for me and
my career. Since winning the contest I have recorded my first CD,
LISTEN 2008. It should be released soon this year. God has been great!
He has sent people my way and they have opened up opportunities that
help me spread His Word.
The most exciting part about winning the contest was the time that
was spent in the studio. Recording a CD was only a dream of mine.
Because of Patch Ministries and this wonderful contest, I was able
to fulfill that dream. A huge contribution was made my River Sound
Productions owned by Doug and Tammy Hodges. This studio was the greatest.
These people gave their time and facility as a reward for winning
the contest. I could have never done it without them. I can truly
say that I have made some lifelong friends...
I know for me this contest was a God send. It is a family friendly
contest and is not exclusive to the Christian genre. I am looking
forward to this year. I feel like there are so many more doors that
will be opened for me. I will be performing 7:00 p.m. on April 12th at Grounded Coffee
shop on High Street in Maryville. I am happy to announce that I have my new cd "Listen"
finished and will be have copies on hand for all interested parties.
